GOOD MORNING GOVERNOR is a digital series for an audience of one: Governor Kathy Hochul.
Closures, lack of aid, staff shortages, sickness, death, racial bias, loan rejection, rent hikes, physical and mental burnout and so much more have driven the bar and restaurant industry in NYC to near collapse. With another winter, another variant wave, and (still) no direct point of contact for the service industry to reach the Governor's office, bars and restaurants in NYC once again offer a rare glimpse behind the curtain of their industry to speak directly to Governor Kathy Hochul in new episodes of Good Morning Governor.
Launched in early winter of 2020, originally to get in touch with Governor Cuomo, after protests, phone calls, emails, and social media efforts to inform Governor Cuomo of the severity of the situation have yielded no response. Previously Good Morning Cuomo, now Good Morning Governor is a platform for NYC Restaurants and Bars to speak directly to sitting Governor Kathy Hochul. Nominated for Achievement in Editing and Winner of Best Web Series at NYC Web Fest 2021.
